Abstract:
Hollow cathode type color PDP, is disclosed, including a front panel having an electrode formed on a front substrate, and a first dielectric film and a protection film formed in succession on an entire surface of the electrode, and a rear panel having a second dielectric film formed on a rear substrate to a thickness opposite to the front panel, a well region formed by etching the second dielectric film to a depth, and an address electrode and a fluorescent material film stacked in succession on an inside surface of the well, thereby allowing a larger discharge area in the discharge cell compared to the related art PDP, which improves a luminance.
Abstract:
Color plasma display panel with arc discharge electrodes, which has an optical structure without cross talks between adjacent electrodes to maximize a discharge area, the panel including a top panel having a plurality of pairs of arc discharge electrodes formed on a same plane with a first insulating substrate and a dielectric film on an entire surface of the pairs of arc discharge electrodes for restricting a discharge current, a bottom panel having barriers formed on the second insulating substrate for providing different colors between adjacent cells opposite to the arc discharge electrodes, address electrodes formed on inside surfaces of the barriers, and fluorescent material films one entire surfaces of the address electrodes, Frit glass for bonding the top and bottom panels, and a mixture gas filled, and sealed in discharge regions of cells.
Abstract:
PDP with a varied thickness dielectric layer, is disclosed, in which a surface discharge is caused by a minimum discharge initiation voltage, the PDP including a top panel having a plurality of pairs of display electrodes formed on a front substrate, and a dielectric layer on entire surfaces of the pairs of the display electrodes formed to have a varied thickness to be thin at an electric field concentration portion and thick at an electric field dispersion portion for restricting a discharge current, a bottom panel having a plurality of barriers formed on a rear substrate opposite to the display electrodes in the top panel at fixed intervals for prevention of cross talk between adjacent cells, address electrodes on each region between the barriers, and fluorescent material layer on side surfaces of the barriers and on the address electrodes, Frit glass for bonding the top panel and the bottom panel, and a mixture gas filled, and sealed in discharge spaces in cells.
Abstract:
The present case relates to a gas discharge display, represented with a plasma display panel(PDP), for displaying an image by displaying gradation using a discharge characteristic of a particular gas. Of a background art gas discharge display for displaying an image by means of a gas discharge having transparent front, and back substrates supported by barrier ribs of a fixed length from inside thereof, electrodes, dielectric, and protective film provided inside of the front, and back substrates, and Penning gas of two gases (Ne+Xe, He+Xe, and etc.) or Penning gas of three gases (Ne+Xe+Ar, He+Xe+Ar, Ne+Xe+He) filled in spaces of the two protective films as a discharge gas, a Penning gas of four gases (Ne+He+Xe+Ar) is used in the gas discharge display for improving a luminance. Accordingly, by using the Penning gas of four gases, this case can satisfy a longer life time, a lower discharge starting voltage, a higher luminance, and an improved color purity in comparison to a CRT display on the same time, thereby allowing realization of a next generation wall mounting large sized display.
