    摘要： An electrical connector (100) for insertion of an electrical plug, includes an insulative housing (1) having a receiving cavity (13) to receive the electrical plug in a front-to-rear direction and a plurality of receiving slots (14) communicating with the receiving cavity, and a set of terminals (2) received in the receiving slots and including first terminals (21). Each first terminal has a vertical flat first base portion (212) retained in the insulative housing and extending along the front-to-rear direction, a first contacting portion (211) protruding into the receiving cavity to electrical contact with the electrical plug, and a first tail portion (213) to be mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB). Both the first contacting portion (211) and the first tail portion (213) simultaneously extend from one of an upper edge and lower edge of the first base portion (212).

    摘要： An electrical connector (100) including an insulative housing (1), a plurality of contacts (2) and a pair first insulators (22). The insulative housing (1) has a body portion (11) and a tongue (12) extending from the body portion (11). The tongue (12) defines a plurality of passageways (132) at two sides thereof. Each contact (21) has a securing portion (212), a contact portion (211) extending to the tongue (12) from the securing portion (212) and a tail portion (213) extending out of the insulative housing (1). The contact portions (211) are arranged in two rows and respectively located at two sides of the tongue (12). Each first insulator (22) is insert molded around the securing portions (212) corresponding to the contact portions (211) of each row. Each first insulator (22) has a first post (228) and a first recess (229) at an inner side thereof to engage with each other.

    摘要： An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, first and second contact modules received in the insulative housing, a first metal shell covering the insulative housing and a grounding piece. The insulative housing includes a mating tongue and the first metal shell includes a plurality of peripheral walls enclosing the mating tongue to cooperatively form a mating opening therebetween. The grounding piece includes a number of side walls and a receiving opening through which the peripheral walls extend. The side walls include a number of half-spherical embosses stamped therefrom to abut against the front metal shell for EMI protection.
