    Abstract: A photovoltaic system includes an inverter and a plurality of photovoltaic units connected to the inverter. Each photovoltaic unit includes a controller and one or more photovoltaic modules connected to the controller. The controller in each photovoltaic unit is further configured to obtain a power carrier signal sent by a controller in another photovoltaic unit of the plurality of photovoltaic units, determine an attenuation reference factor of the power carrier signal based on the obtained power carrier signal, and send the attenuation reference factor to the inverter. The inverter is further configured to group the plurality of photovoltaic units based on the attenuation degree of the power carrier signal obtained by each photovoltaic unit. This application can implement automatic grouping of photovoltaic units.

    Abstract: This application provides a method and apparatus for obtaining location information of a controller. The method includes: obtaining, by an inverter, signal feature information of each photovoltaic unit in a high-voltage direct current string, where the signal feature information of a photovoltaic unit includes a communication identifier of the photovoltaic unit and a signal feature of another photovoltaic unit, and the photovoltaic unit includes one controller and at least one photovoltaic module; determining an installation sequence of the photovoltaic units based on signal feature information of the photovoltaic units; and determining relative installation location information of each photovoltaic unit based on relative installation location information of a target photovoltaic unit in the high-voltage direct current string and the installation sequence of the photovoltaic units, where the target photovoltaic unit is at least one photovoltaic unit in the high-voltage direct current string.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a fault point position determining method and apparatus and a photovoltaic system, to correctly and efficiently determine a fault point position when a disconnection fault occurs in a photovoltaic system. The method is applied to a photovoltaic system, the photovoltaic system includes at least one inverter and at least one photovoltaic unit, each photovoltaic unit includes at least one photovoltaic module and one photovoltaic module controller, and the method includes: sending, by an inverter, a first test signal to the at least one photovoltaic unit; obtaining, by the inverter, first test signal characteristic information fed back by the at least one photovoltaic unit; and performing, by the inverter, absolute value or relative value sorting on the at least one piece of first test signal characteristic information, and determining a fault point in the photovoltaic system based on a sorting result.
