Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining a user location, and a communications system are provided, where the method includes: acquiring first location information of a first user equipment and second location information of a second user equipment; determining whether the first user equipment is near the second user equipment according to the first location information and the second location information; and notifying the first user equipment or the second user equipment or both of a message that the first user equipment is near the second user equipment when it is determined that the first user equipment is near the second user equipment. In the foregoing technical solutions, that whether one user equipment is near another user equipment can be determined according to acquired location information of the user equipment's, thereby improving user experience.
