    Abstract: A packet forwarding method, a device, and a system, where a first provider edge (PE) device separately sends request packets to a second PE device and a third PE device. The second PE device receives the two request packets separately using a primary pseudo wire (PW) and using a secondary PW, the third PE device, and a bypass PW, switches preferential forwarding statuses relative to the primary PW and the bypass PW to a balance state, and then, notifies the first PE device and the third PE device using a response packet. The first PE device switches preferential forwarding statuses relative to the primary PW and the secondary PW to the balance state based on the response packet. The third PE device switches a preferential forwarding status relative to the bypass PW to the balance state based on the response packet.

    Abstract: A method, a device, and a system for deferring a switchback. A first network device sends a query packet to a second network device, detects, according to the query packet, whether a route from the second network device to a destination device is available after receiving the query packet, and when it is available, the second network device sends a query response packet to the first network device in order to trigger the first network device to switch back from a secondary route to a primary route. The technical solution provided reduces a wait-to-restore time of the switchback, ensures that service data transmitted from the first network device to the second network device can be transmitted to the destination device, and facilitates smooth transmission of the service data.

    Abstract: A configuration method and a controller are provided. The configuration method is applied to a network on which detection is performed by using the two-way active measurement protocol (TWAMP), and may include: receiving, by a controller, a request packet sent by an ingress network device, where the ingress network device is a network device through which a service flow flows into the network, and the request packet includes a destination IP address of the service flow; and determining, by the controller, based on the destination IP address, that the service flow is an X2 service flow, and sending configuration information for TWAMP detection to the ingress network device and an egress network device, where the egress network device is a network device through which the service flow flows out of the network.
