Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling a timer are disclosed. In the method, after user equipment activates a first bandwidth part in response to a first message, the user equipment controls a target timer to perform timing based on a unit time length of a second bandwidth part to optimize the timer in a BWP scenario.
