Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A terminal determines a frequency hopping periodicity index of the terminal based on a first time unit. The terminal determines a first frequency hopping parameter based on the frequency hopping periodicity index of the terminal and a frequency hopping pattern, where the first frequency hopping parameter may be represented as khopping. The terminal sends a sounding reference signal SRS to a network device based on the first frequency hopping parameter.
