Abstract: This disclosure discloses signal configuration methods and apparatuses. In an implementation, a method comprises: generating at least two reference signals of a same type corresponding to at least two antenna ports indicated to a terminal device, wherein the at least two reference signals comprise a first reference signal and a second reference signal, wherein a first sequence of the first reference signal is obtained based on a first initialization factor determined based on an index of a first code division multiplexing (CDM) group, and wherein a second sequence of the second reference signal different from the first sequence is obtained based on a second initialization factor determined based on an index of a second CDM group; and transmitting the at least two reference signals.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide, among other implementations, sequence determining methods. One example method provides a sequence group, and one sequence group number is corresponding to at least two sequences, where one sequence is used for mapping to consecutive subcarriers, and at least one other sequence is used for mapping to equally-spaced subcarriers. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, as high as possible cross-correlation between a sending signal obtained after equally-spaced mapping is performed on a sequence in a sequence group can be determined, and a sending signal obtained after continuous mapping is performed on another sequence in the group.

One example method includes determining, by a first terminal device based on a parameter group, a first sequence including N elements, where the parameter group includes a first parameter, a second parameter, and a cyclic shift value, the first sequence is obtained by performing cyclic shift on a second sequence based on the cyclic shift value, and the second sequence is determined based on the first parameter and the second parameter.
