    Abstract: A bidirectional optical sub assembly includes a base made of a conducting material, and the base has a first part and a second part. An input port transmits a first electrical signal to a transmitter, the transmitter converts the first electrical signal into a first optical signal, and transmits the first optical signal to a wavelength division multiplexing element. A wavelength division multiplexing element reflects an optical signal of a first wavelength, or transmits an optical signal of a second wavelength different from the first wavelength. The wavelength division multiplexing element reflects the first optical signal, and transmits a second optical signal to a receiver. The receiver converts the second optical signal into a second electrical signal, and outputs the second electrical signal using an output port. An isolation element electromagnetically isolates the receiver from the transmitter.

    Abstract: An OLT performs interactive authentication with an optical module, and determines a time sequence parameter of the optical module. The optical module stores the time sequence parameter in a register of the optical module. When the optical module is inserted into the OLT and is in a working state, the OLT reads the time sequence parameter stored in the optical module. Then, based on the time sequence parameter, the OLT determines and configures time sequence information of an ONU corresponding to the optical module.

    Abstract: This application provides example optical communications apparatuses. One example optical communications apparatus includes a control apparatus and an optical module matching apparatus. The control apparatus can output a first control signal to the control end. An input end of the optical module matching apparatus can connect to a first optical module and receive a first electrical signal output by the first optical module. An output end of the optical module matching apparatus can output a first serial signal. The control apparatus can output a second control signal to the control end. The input end of the optical module matching apparatus can receive a second electrical signal output by the second optical module. The output end of the optical module matching apparatus can output a second serial signal. The first electrical signal and the second electrical signal can have different level types.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of optical communications. A board is disclosed. The board includes a level adjustment circuit, a detection apparatus, and a control apparatus. The detection apparatus is configured to: when the detection apparatus is connected to an optical module, receive an indication signal output by an upstream optical signal detection pin; continuously detect a received first level signal and the received indication signal. If there is a second level signal, opposite to the first level signal, the detection apparatus notifies the control apparatus that the optical module is inserted. If there is no second level signal in the signal received within the preset duration, the detection apparatus notifies the control apparatus that the optical module is absent. This makes the optical module less dependent on the in-position pin, and decreases a quantity of pins of the optical module.

    Abstract: A single-fiber bidirectional sub assembly includes a base, a laser, an optical receiver, a wavelength splitter, and a sealing cover with a lens. The base includes a surface, an accommodation groove is disposed on the surface, the accommodation groove includes a groove bottom wall parallel to the surface, a wavelength division surface is disposed in the wavelength splitter, the optical receiver is disposed on the groove bottom wall, the wavelength splitter is disposed in the accommodation groove, and shields the optical receiver, the laser is located on one side of the accommodation groove, and the wavelength division surface faces the laser, and an included angle is formed between the wavelength division surface and the groove bottom wall on which the optical receiver is located; and the sealing cover covers the base, and accommodates the laser, the optical receiver, and the wavelength splitter.
