    Abstract: A mobility management method and a communication apparatus are provided. The method includes: A terminal device measures a downlink reference signal of a first cell and a downlink reference signal of a second cell, and reports an obtained first measurement result to an access network device. The access network device sends, based on the first measurement result, at least one piece of beam information to the terminal device. The terminal device performs mobility management based on the at least one piece of beam information. The at least one piece of beam information includes beam information of the first cell and/or the second cell, the first cell is a cell serving the terminal device, the second cell is a cell other than the first cell, and the access network device is an access network device to which the first cell or the second cell belongs.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a cell handover method and an apparatus. A terminal device receives a first message from a network device to which a source cell belongs, where the first message indicates the terminal device to perform cell handover, the first message carries first indication information, and the first indication information indicates a plurality of beam directions. The terminal device communicates, by using the plurality of beam directions, with a network device to which at least one target cell belongs, where the at least one target cell is a cell to which the terminal device is handed over.

    Abstract: This application provides a data transmission method and an apparatus. The method includes: A first central unit receives data from a user plane function network element, and then determines time information corresponding to the data, where the time information is used by a first distributed unit and a second distributed unit to synchronously transmit the data. Further, the first central unit separately sends the data and the time information to the first distributed unit and the second distributed unit. The first distributed unit and the second distributed unit send the data to a terminal device based on the time information. According to the method, the first distributed unit and the second distributed unit can perform synchronous transmission to the terminal device, to improve data transmission reliability.
