Abstract: A luminaire includes a rear housing section having an opening in communication with an exterior environment. A cover is connected to the rear housing section. An insert extends between the rear housing section and the cover. The insert includes a base and a fin member extending from the base. An air passageway is formed between the insert and the cover and is in fluid communication with the opening. A control component is connected to the base. A light emitter assembly is connected to the insert and controlled by the control component. The insert provides thermal communication between the control component and the light emitter and the fluid passageway.

Abstract: An emergency lighting system including a plurality of lights including a first group of lights and a second group of lights, a switching circuit, and a controller. The switching circuit includes a relay. The relay has a first position, in which power from the driver is provided to the first group of lights and the second group of lights; and a second position, in which power from the auxiliary power supply is provided to the second group of lights. The controller is configured to output a signal to the emergency control input when an input voltage is below a threshold. Wherein, the switching circuit places the relay in the second position upon receiving the signal at the emergency control input.

Abstract: An emergency lighting system including a mains power supply, an auxiliary power supply, a brown-out circuit, a plurality of lights including a first group of lights and a second group of lights, and a controller. The brown-out circuit is configured to extract input voltage information related to a voltage level of the mains power supply, and scale down an input voltage of the mains power supply to a DC voltage proportional to the voltage level. The controller is configured to control the plurality of lights. Wherein, power is provided from the mains power supply to the first group of lights and the second group of lights when the DC voltage is above a threshold, and power is provided from the auxiliary power supply to the first group of lights and not the second group of lights when the DC voltage is below the threshold.

The input is configured to receive a line voltage. The charging circuit is configured to receive the line voltage and output a charging voltage. The auxiliary power supply is configured to receive the charging voltage. The plurality of lights include a first group of lights and a second group of lights. The driver is configured to provide power to the plurality of lights. The controller is configured to monitor the line voltage, compare the line voltage to a threshold, control the driver to provide power to the first group of lights and the second group of lights when the input voltage is above the threshold, and provide power to the second group of lights when the input voltage is below the threshold.
