Abstract:
A plumbing assembly includes a plumbing fitting having a body. The body includes a main body portion having a main bore extending there through. A peripheral body portion extends from the main body portion. The peripheral body portion includes a distal end and a sampling bore extends through the peripheral body such that the sampling bore is in fluid communication with the main bore. The plumbing assembly further includes a sampling valve threadably coupled to the distal end of the peripheral body portion of the plumbing fitting. The sampling valve extends at least partially into the sampling bore without extending into the main bore. As such, the main bore is unimpeded by the sampling valve and use of the sampling valve imparts substantially no pressure drop in a fluid passing through the main bore of the plumbing fitting.
Abstract:
A diaphragm valve is provided which can be used both with corrosive liquids without valve component degradation and with chemically pure liquids without deleteriously affecting the liquids' purity. The valve incorporates a valve body having at least one inlet and at least one outlet, with a valve seat between each inlet and outlet. A pair of spaced-apart diaphragms are provided which are in contact with the fluid flowing through the valve. A poppet assembly, which extends between the diaphragms, incorporates a valve stem with a valve plug on one or both ends which engages an associated valve seat. A leak detection port is provided to detect liquids which may leak through either one of the two diaphragms.
Abstract:
A spring for use in a check valve is formed from a single piece of a polymeric material and includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a body positioned between the proximal end and the distal end. The body includes a wall, a proximal opening on the wall and a distal opening on the wall, and a bellows between the proximal opening and the distal opening. Further included is a process of forming the spring.
