Abstract: Lightweight waterproofing membranes are for protecting structures, such as buildings and bridges. The lightweight waterproofing membrane is produced by coating a reinforcing material with a coating formulation. The coating formulation has bitumen and plasticizer blend, petroleum coke (petcoke), and elastomeric block polymer or plastomeric polymer or both.
