Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for digitally altering redeemed wagering tickets include a processor circuit for performing operations. A memory coupled to the processor circuit includes machine-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor circuit, cause the processor circuit to receive an indication that a player has inserted a wagering ticket into an acceptor of a gaming device and cause an image capture device to generate a digital image of the wagering ticket. The processor digitally alters the digital image of the wagering ticket to form a digitally altered digital image. The digitally altered digital image includes a paid indication indicative that the wagering ticket has been redeemed, an amount indication indicative of an amount paid for the wagering ticket, and a time indication indicative of a time period associated with redemption of the wagering ticket.
