Abstract: The present invention relates to aqueous compositions for suppressing fires, comprising surfactants and/or hydrotropes, particulate inorganic materials selected from the group consisting of perlite, talc, calcium carbonate, kaolin, dolomite, mica, and bentonite, and combinations thereof, and optionally one or more additives.
