    Abstract: An electric power-regulating system includes an electric-load end, a power-supply end, a power regulator, a DC-bus device, a flywheel energy-storage device, a switch device and a controller. The flywheel energy-storage device connects the DC-bus device. The switch device is connected between the flywheel energy-storage device and the DC-bus device. The switch device provides at least one current-flow direction between the DC-bus device and the flywheel energy-storage device. The controller controls the power regulator and the flywheel energy-storage device. When a voltage of the DC-bus device exceeds a operation range, the controller selectively limits the current-flow direction of the switch device. Further, when a voltage-bias direction of the switch device and the current-flow direction are the same, the controller allows a current of the DC-bus device to flow into or out of the flywheel energy-storage device in the current-flow direction. In addition, an electric power-regulating method is also provided.

    Abstract: A kinetic energy recovery system with flywheel includes a flywheel doubly-fed electric machine, an electric motor, a drive circuit and a controller. The flywheel doubly-fed electric machine has a primary side coil and a secondary side coil. The electric motor has a phase coil connected in series with the primary side coil. The drive circuit has an AC/DC circuit and a DC/AC circuit, wherein the AC end of the AC/DC circuit is coupled to the primary side coil; the AC end of the DC/AC circuit is coupled to the secondary side coil. The controller is configured to manipulate a frequency and a phase of output voltage and output current of the secondary side coil, thereby controlling the frequency and phase of a voltage and a current output from the primary side coil, thereby recovering a kinetic energy of the electric motor or providing the kinetic energy to the electric motor.

    Abstract: A kinetic energy recovery system with flywheel includes a cascade flywheel doubly-fed electric machine and an electric motor. The cascade flywheel doubly-fed electric machine has a stator end coil, a rotor end coil and a flywheel. The flywheel can store kinetic energy by increasing speed or releasing kinetic energy by decreasing speed. A control circuit has an inverter, a rectifier and a DC bus connecting the inverter and the rectifier. The inverter supplies alternating current to the rotor end coil. The rectifier has an AC end connected to the stator end coil through an AC bus. The rectifier converts alternating current to direct current, so that the inverter can draw power from the DC bus. The electric motor has a phase coil connected to the AC bus. When the cascade flywheel double-fed electric machine decelerates, the system converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.

    Abstract: A kinetic energy recovery system with flywheel includes a cascade flywheel doubly-fed electric machine. The cascade flywheel doubly-fed electric machine has a stator end coil, a rotor end coil and a flywheel. The flywheel can store kinetic energy by increasing speed or releasing kinetic energy by decreasing speed.     Abstract: The disclosure relates to a flywheel energy storage system including a casing, shaft, flywheel, and electric motor assembly. The casing has an inner vacuum chamber, at least one outer accommodating slot and at least one separator which separates the inner vacuum chamber from the at least one outer accommodating slot. The shaft is rotatably disposed in the inner vacuum chamber. The flywheel is located in the inner vacuum chamber and fixed to the shaft. The electric motor assembly includes a first motor rotor and a motor stator. The motor stator is accommodated in the at least one outer accommodating slot and fixed to the at least one separator. The first motor rotor is fixed on the shaft and located between the shaft and the motor stator. Part of the at least one separator located between the first motor rotor and the motor stator includes magnetically permeable material.
