Abstract: This system provides for automatic communications between the subscribers of public telephone networks and mobile sets over a large land area (or along a highway) covered by a plurality of radiotelephone exchanges. A call from a network exchange for a mobile is first transmitted to all these radio exchanges by a service-bus line. When one of the radio exchanges reaches the mobile in its area, it signals itself to the calling exchange and only then the calling exchange proceeds with the extension of the telephone toll connection to that radio exchange.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for controlling a frequency division multiplex system by means of indicating signals directed to a central processor. Basically, four conditions occur and these are signalled to the central processor in binary form at two access points. Switching information is exchanged between the two access ponts by way of two signalling frequencies transmitted between terminals associated with a calling and a called subscriber. Both rotary dial and pushbutton dialing outputs are sent as combinations of pulses at these two frequencies.

Abstract: A switching scheme is provided for a telephone exchange having an attached switching section for serving mobile sets. Subscriber-line circuits are provided in the said section, each allotted to a mobile subscriber. A ''''Y'''' switching group in said section is equipped with twin cross-points, one branch of the ''''Y'''' leading to the radio circuits, the other to the mobilesuscriber circuits through a terminal switching group. The mobile-subscriber circuits are tested as to the class of service, busy condition etc., before a through-connection is established between a calling line in the exchange and a radio channel to reach the called mobile, or vice versa.
