Abstract: An operating system of a computational device manages access of a plurality of applications to a solid state drive. Separate bands are maintained in the solid state drive for storing writes of at least two different applications of the plurality of applications. Additionally, in other embodiments, a virtual machine manager of a computational device manages access of a plurality of virtual machines to a solid state drive.
