Abstract: A method including generating a queue of a plurality of workloads for execution in a data processing environment, where the plurality of workloads are organized in the queue based on respective priority values, and where a vulnerability scan is queued with a lower priority value and segmenting the vulnerability scan using at least one selected from a group consisting of: parallel segmentation and iterative segmentation. The parallel segmentation is configured to implement respective segments of the vulnerability scan at predetermined times to reduce downtime or performance impact of the data processing environment and the iterative segmentation is configured to repeatedly segment the vulnerability scan until respective segments of the vulnerability scan can be implemented in the data processing environment without any downtime or significant performance impact. The method further includes implementing the segmented vulnerability scan in the data processing environment.

Abstract: Execution of application programming interface (API) calls from a non-adjacent augmented reality device includes monitoring network traffic in a network including one or more smart devices connected to the network. Data input corresponding to user interactions with a physical environment is captured from the one or more smart devices connected to the network. A history of API calls stored in the one or more smart devices regarding the user interactions with the physical environment are accessed, based on the network traffic monitoring and the captured data input, changes in the physical environment are identified and mapped to the history of API calls. A handshake is generated between an augmented reality device and at least one of the one or more smart devices to execute an API call from the augmented reality device to the at least one smart device based on the mapping.

Abstract: Computer technology for preparing a natural language summary of a natural language original text based on a reading profile for an intended reader based on historical reading data. The reader profile includes reading related attribute values of the intended reader, such as levels of knowledge about various topics, a general reading level of the intended reader and the brevity/length of summaries preferred by the intended reader, the general vocabulary level of the intended reader. The intended readers reading profile will grow and change as the intended reader does additional reading to create additional new “historical” data upon which the attribute values of the reader profile are based to dynamically track attributes of the intended reader for use in further summaries of other texts.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes capturing at least one workflow activity input by a user on a first user device, and analyzing the at least one workflow activity to determine whether the at least one workflow activity corresponds to at least one predetermined workflow process. In response to a determination that the at least one workflow activity corresponds to a first of the at least one predetermined workflow process, a first user interface (UI) shortcut to a predicted next workflow activity in the first workflow process is generated. The first UI shortcut is embedded in the first workflow process for display on the first user device. A computer program product, according to one embodiment, includes a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith. The program instructions are readable and/or executable by a computer to cause the computer to perform a foregoing method.

Abstract: Described is a method for logistic transport monitoring of an IoT device utilizing token generation for payload data for features and peripheral functionality associated with the IoT device being shipped between an origin location and a target location. The method include generating a pre-shipment token prior to loading of the IoT device onto a logistic transporter and regenerating a token subsequent to loading of the IoT device onto the logistic transporter, where a validated pre-shipment token and a matching regenerated token indicate a faultless operational status of the IoT device. The method includes iteratively regenerating tokens during the shipment of the IoT device, where a mismatch between an iteratively generated token and the regenerated token indicate an operational fault of the IoT device indicating the IoT device was damaged during the shipment between the origin location and the target location.

Abstract: Creating or refining a computer implemented map of signal strength of a local area network (“LAN”) using an autonomous vehicle equipped with a network signal strength sensor (for example, a Wi-Fi transceiver that includes RSSI (“Received Signal Strength Indicator”) hardware). The autonomous vehicle travels around the geographical area of interest (for example, a building) and measures signal strength of a predetermined LAN at various points in the geographical area to determine, and dynamically re-determine, a zone where LAN signal strength is greater than a predetermined value. The network map may be used as a basis for adjusting LAN operating parameters to ensure network coverage/signal stability where it is needed and/or expected.
