Abstract: Systems and methods for generating search results based on non-linguistic tokens are disclosed. In embodiments, a computer-implemented method comprises: mapping, by a computing device, a non-linguistic token to documents during indexing based on associations in a token database between the non-linguistic token and variations of a multi-word term; receiving, by the computing device, the multi-word term in a search query; determining, by the computing device, the non-linguistic token associated with the multi-word term using the token database; and generating, by the computing device, search results based on the multi-word term and the non-linguistic token.

Abstract: Methods and systems for automatic video summary generation are disclosed. A method includes: extracting, by a computing device, a plurality of frames from a video; determining, by the computing device, for each of the plurality of extracted frames, features in the frame; creating, by the computing device, a scene detection model using the determined features for each of the plurality of extracted frames; scoring, by the computing device, each of the plurality of extracted frames using the created scene detection model; and generating, by the computing device, a video summary using the scored plurality of extracted frames.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprising: receiving, by a computing device, an input phrase from a text generator; determining, by the computing device, a complexity level for an audience; generating, by the computing device, a plurality of target phrases including a modification of the input phrase; generating, by the computing device, respective readability scores for each of the plurality of target phrases; mapping, by the computing device, the plurality of the target phrases to the target audience complexity level to select a particular target phrase of the plurality of the target phrases; and outputting, by the computing device, the selected particular target phrase to a text-to-speech (T2S) component to cause the T2S component to output the selected particular target phrase as audible speech.
