摘要： A method and apparatus for copying an original including an optical exposure device reciprocating in a passage between the original and a sheet of copy paper. The exposure device moves in the same direction as the copy paper being supplied and starts from a fixed standard line to move to a stop line that varies with the length of the original to thereby determine and cut the length of the copy paper to be the same length as the original. The exposure device then returns to its starting position while scanning an image on the original.
