A device for cutting off a power supply of a printer. The device for cutting off the power supply of the printer, wherein the printer includes a developer unit and a printer cover covering an opening provided for replacing the developer unit, includes a first unit cutting off power supply on the developer unit, and a second unit cutting off power supply on the surface of the printer cover opposite to the developer unit to correspond to the first unit. Since the volume of the device for cutting off the power supply is reduced, the size of the printer can be reduced. Also, the number of failures generated when assembling the elements of the device and problems generated when operating the device can be greatly reduced.

An electronic apparatus and a power supply device used with the electronic apparatus is capable of automatically shutting off power from a power supply to the electronic apparatus when an access cover is opened. The electronic apparatus includes a casing that houses a power control unit therein, and having one end open, an access cover disposed at the casing to open and close the open side of the casing, and a power supply device that connects an external power source to the power control unit. The power supply device shuts the power control unit off from the external power source when the open side is open. Accordingly, when the access cover is opened for the operations such as additional installation of the optional item or replacement of inner parts with new ones, the external power supply is automatically shut off. Therefore, accidents such as electrocution or burns, can be prevented, and damage to the electronic apparatus caused by the electrical shock can also be prevented.

A paper feeding unit of an image forming apparatus, which includes: a pickup roller; a first feed roller to feed the paper in a required direction; and a reverse roller to prevent a plurality of sheets of paper from being fed by rotating in an opposite direction to the first feed roller and to separate the paper into individual sheets, wherein the first feed roller has a contact section in contact with the reverse roller and a non-contact section where the first feed roller is apart from the reverse roller and the first feed roller feeds the paper by making a one-time rotation and stops rotating with the non-contact section facing the reverse roller. Since the feed roller and the reverse roller are put apart from each other in a waiting mode, the rollers can be protected from abrasion and paper can be fed smoothly.

A scanning apparatus including a scanner body that has a document bed on which a document is placed; a scan unit that is movably disposed in the inside of the scanner body and scans the document placed on the document bed; and a light-blocking unit that selectively covers a non-image area on the document bed where the document is not placed. With the scanning apparatus of the present invention, it is possible to prevent unnecessary consumption of a developer and exposure of light from the scan unit as resulting from scanning the non-image area.
