Embodiments can provide a system, a wheel localizer, a wheel localization device, a method or a computer program for locating a position of wheel and/or for determining an acceleration of a wheel of a vehicle. The system for locating a position of at least one out of a plurality of wheels of a vehicle includes a detector configured to obtain information related to a tangential acceleration of the at least one wheel of the vehicle and a unit configured to obtain information related to angular rotations of the plurality of wheels. The system further includes a locator configured to determine the position of the at least one wheel based on the information related to the tangential acceleration of the at least one wheel and the information related to the angular rotations of the plurality of wheels.

A position sensor system comprises a magnetic strip extending in a readout direction and comprising magnetic poles alternating at a constant pitch along the readout direction. At least a first differential magnetoresistive sensor comprises magnetoresistive sensing elements spaced at the pitch. The magnetic poles of the magnetic strip and the first differential magnetoresistive sensor are movable with respect to each other in the readout direction.

An absolute position measurement system includes a multipole magnet including alternating magnetic poles extending along a multipole extension direction, the multipole magnet has a linear changing configuration relative to a linear path and produces a magnetic field having a field strength that undergoes a sinusoidal change along the linear path due to the alternating magnetic poles and a linear change along the linear path according to the linear changing configuration relative to the linear path; and a magnetic sensor configured to move along the linear path. The sensor assembly comprises a magnetic structure comprising a north pole radially displaced from the axis and a south pole radially displaced from the axis and opposite to the north pole. The north pole and the south pole of the magnet extend radially into the direction of the axis at an axial end of the sensor assembly. In some implementations, a sensing device associated with less than a 360 degree measurement range may obtain a set of signal values. The sensing device may be configured to sense a magnetic field present at the sensing device and collect sensor data based on the magnetic field. The set of signal values may be included in the sensor data collected by the sensing device and may correspond to one or more components of the magnetic field present at the sensing device. The sensing device may determine, based on the set of signal values, a set of calibration points and a set of angular positions. The sensing device may calculate a set of calibration parameters based on the set of calibration points and the set of angular positions. The sensing device may utilize the set of calibration parameters to perform one or more safety checks.
