Abstract: A method for building a configuration signature for an input/output (I/O) device is described herein. The configuration signature is built based on descriptors of an I/O device and save to a host after an initial connection. After the initial connection, the I/O device may be subjected to modifications. To determine if such modifications exist, the descriptors of the I/O device are compared to the configuration signature after the initial connection.

Abstract: Techniques related to fumble protection. The techniques may include an apparatus having one or more modules having logic, at least partially comprising hardware logic. A detection module is configured to detect an acceleration associated with the apparatus. A comparison module is configured to compare the acceleration to a signature. An alteration module may also be included in techniques herein described. The alteration module may alter operation of at least one input device associated with the apparatus for a duration of the acceleration based on the acceleration comparison.

Abstract: A device, method, and system are disclosed. In one embodiment the device includes a router to transmit data packets between multiple host controllers and one or more peripheral devices. The router can receive a data packet from a host controller and transmit the data packet to a peripheral device across a data transmission path. The peripheral device is coupled to the first data transmission path through a first universal multi-transport medium (UMTM) connector. The connector includes an optical coupling capable of transporting the first data packet within an optical signal and an electrical coupling capable of transporting the first data packet within an electrical signal.
