Abstract: A dialing method for effecting international call in intelligent cellular phone utilizes a conversion table for storing system codes of a plurality of network companies worldwide and their international access codes and a phone book for storing a plurality of telephone numbers having international access codes respectively of different called parties in the database thereof to let the cellular phone be able to determine current location area while calling in international roaming and find the correct international access code from conversion table in accordance with system code received from an approximate network company for replacing international access code in telephone number searched from phone book.

Abstract: The invention is a method for communication apparatus in utilizing global positioning system to proceed time switch, wherein a global positioning system and a communication apparatus are integrated as a whole, and in one memory of said communication apparatus preset with a database of various time zone worldwide including a comparison table of the time differences between each said time zone and the longitude and latitude coordinates covered by each said time zone, and said communication apparatus utilizes said global positioning system to judge the longitude and latitude coordinates of residence and location, and utilize said comparison table according to the longitude and latitude coordinates of residence and location for searching the corresponding time differences therebetween, and renew the preset time to local time according to said time differences.

Abstract: In a cellular phone having a memory with a data base for storing a time conversion table regarding time of one place in the world belonging to a first telephone system and corresponding time of the other place in the world belonging to a second telephone system different from the first one, a method for automatically adjusting a time difference between the cellular phone and a connected base station during an international roaming comprises the steps of when a CPU of the cellular phone determines that an associated telephone system is different from that of the connected base station, the telephone system accessing the data base and looking up the conversion table for retrieving a corresponding time of the connected base station with respect to the cellular phone; and showing the corresponding time as a local time on a display of the cellular phone.
