摘要： A region on chromosome 8q24.21 has been demonstrated to play a major role in particular forms of cancer. It has been discovered that certain markers and haplotypes are indicative of a susceptibility to particular cancers, including prostate cancer. Diagnostic applications for identifying a susceptibility to cancer using these markers and haplotypes are described.
