Abstract: According to an aspect, an illumination device includes a light source, a light adjustment device configured to control a light distribution angle of light emitted from the light source, and a controller configured to control the light adjustment device. The controller includes a storage configured to hold correspondence information indicating a correspondence relation between first data that is input from a control device and second data that is used to control the light distribution angle, a data generator configured to generate second data by adjusting the first data based on the correspondence information, and a driver configured to drive the light adjustment device based on the second data.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device displays an n−1th frame (n is an integer which is greater than or equal 2) and an nth frame in this order. The display device includes a display panel, calculator, adjuster, and controller. The calculator calculates power consumption of the n−1th frame. The adjuster determines whether or not the nth frame is brighter than the n−1th frame, and adjusts brightness of the nth frame based on a brightness adjustment magnification of the nth frame calculated based on the power consumption of the n−1th frame and a decreasing function, when the nth frame is not brighter than the n−1th frame. The controller stops light emission with an arbitrary timing when the nth frame is displayed, when the nth frame is brighter than the n−1th frame.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel in which pixel units are arranged, and a controller configured to generate image signals by multiplying display data externally supplied to each line by a luminosity adjustment factor, to supply the generated image signals to the pixel units, to accumulate power consumption of each line, and to execute black insertion if the accumulated power consumption is determined to be greater than power consumption of one previous display frame by a predetermined value, wherein the luminosity adjustment factor is acquired by substituting the power consumption of one previous frame to a decreasing function, and a display pattern including a plurality of continuing black display lines is synchronized with supply of the image signals and is displayed moving the same direction of a screen scanning direction of the display panel during the black insertion.
