Abstract:
A flavorant-carrying adsorbent particle comprising an adsorbent core particle having a BET specific surface area of 700 m2/g or greater, and a flavor-generating medium carried on the surface of the adsorbent core particle and including a flavorant and a flavorant-holding material holding the flavorant, wherein the flavorant-holding material is present in an amount of 5 to 20% with respect to a total weight of the flavorant-carrying adsorbent particle, and the flavorant is present in an amount of 10 to 50% with respect to a weight of the flavorant-holding material.
Abstract:
A tobacco-flavor-releasing material includes granules which contain (a) a ground tobacco material, (b) water, (c) a moisturizing agent includes a polyhydric alcohol, (d) at least one pH-adjusting agent selected from the group consisting of potassium carbonate and sodium hydrogencarbonate, and (e) at least one binder selected from the group consisting of pullulan and hydroxypropyl cellulose.
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a tobacco material in which there is limited occurrence of pieces of the tobacco material sticking together. The present invention solves this problem by means of a tobacco material in which the total protein content per 100 mg of the material, in terms of dry weight, is no higher than 5 mg.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a cigarette mainstream smoke component adsorbent including particulate activated carbon, and a glucan film supported by the particulate activated carbon. Also, the present invention provides a cigarette filter including the cigarette mainstream smoke component adsorbent.
Abstract:
his invention provides a method for efficiently isolating and purifying neophytadiene from leaf tobacco with high yield and purity. The method involves: adding an aprotic solvent to leaf tobacco for extraction and removing residue to obtain an extraction liquid; adding an acidic aqueous solution for liquid-liquid extraction and removing the aqueous layer; adding a protic solvent for further liquid-liquid extraction and removing the solvent layer; evaporating the solvent to obtain dried matter; adding a protic solvent to form a solution; removing precipitates to obtain a supernatant; replacing the solvent with an aprotic solvent to form a new solution; and isolating and purifying neophytadiene using normal phase HPLC.
Abstract:
Provided is a coolant for heat-not-burn tobacco, which comprises a polyhydric alcohol and a porous granular base material, wherein the polyhydric alcohol is impregnated into the granular base material.
