Abstract:
A connector assembly includes a receptacle (300) having a latching tab (30) extending inwardly and forwardly, and a plug connector (100) adapted for mating and latching with the receptacle. The plug connector includes a housing (1) defining an outer surface (110), and a releasing mechanism (2) having a slider (20) movably attached to the housing. The outer surface has a recess (10) defining a shoulder portion (101) configured for resisting against the latching tab in a backward direction. The slider has an ejector end (21) extends forwardly and outwardly. The recess has a ramped surface (1020) configured for leading the ejector end moving backwardly and outwardly to release the latching tab from the shoulder portion.
Abstract:
A plug connector (100) includes a paddle board (21) and a housing having a first and a second housing portions (11, 12). The first housing portion includes a first side wall (1111) defining a first channel (112a), a second side wall (1112) defining a second channel (112b), and a cavity (13) defined between the front portion of the first side wall and the second side wall. The first channel has a rear portion exposed outwardly of the cavity for guiding the paddle board. The second housing portion is engaged with the first housing portion along a left-to-right direction to be in alignment with the second side wall for positioning the paddle board between the first and second housing portions.
Abstract:
A plug connector comprises: a housing and a releasing mechanism mounted on the housing and comprising a pulling portion and a latching member, the latching member defining a latching portion for latching a complementary connector, the pulling portion having a groove and the latching member having an ear portion engaged with the groove, the ear portion being able to rise out of the groove in response to a rearward movement of the pulling portion to move the latching portion from a latched position to a released position.
Abstract:
A plug connector (100) mating with a complementary connector has a housing (1) defining a latching recess (117), a cover (3) and a releasing mechanism including a puller (5) and a latch (4) operable by the puller. The latch has a latching portion (42). The latching portion includes a resisting portion (423) for engaging the cover and a claw (424) in front of the resisting portion and projecting toward a first direction. The resisting portion, in response to a rearward movement of the puller, is movable to engage the cover and to pivot the claw from a latched position to a released position where the claw is received in the latching recess along a second direction opposite to the first direction.
Abstract:
A plug connector (100) configured for latching with a receptacle having a latching tab includes a housing (1) defining a top wall (14) and two opposite sidewalls (13), and a releasing mechanism (2) assembled to the housing. The releasing mechanism includes a pair of sliders (21) movably attached to the sidewalls, and an extension spring (25) attached to the top wall. The spring has two free ends (250) respectively connected to the sliders. Each of the sliders includes a narrowed and protruded actuating end (211) adapted for releasing the latching tab of the receptacle from the plug connector when the slider moves from a first position to a second position. The movement of the sliders elongates the spring into an extended state at the second position. The extended spring tends to restore the sliders to the first position.
Abstract:
A connector assembly (100) includes a receptacle (2) having an inwardly extending latching tab (21), and a plug connector (1) insertable into the receptacle. The plug connector includes a housing (12) defining opposite first and second sides and a pair of grooves (123), and a releasing mechanism (11) including an outwardly tilting releasing tab (110) located at the first side, a lever (114) located at the second side, and a body portion (116) formed with a pair of inverted U-shaped resilient portions (115) received in the grooves. The releasing tab is movable rearwardly, by a rearward movement of the lever through a deformation of the resilient portions, to outwardly push the latching tab for permitting an extraction of the housing.
