Abstract: A method for manufacturing a continuous casting mold in which cracking and spalling are less likely to occur in a filling laminate. The method includes filling a plurality of concave portions formed on an inner surface of a copper-made mold copper plate or a copper alloy-made mold copper plate used for continuously casting steel at least in a region including a meniscus position of molten steel in a casting process with a metal having a thermal conductivity different from that of the mold copper plate.

Abstract: A method for continuously casting steel capable of reducing center segregation that occurs in a slab. In a section in a continuous casting machine in a slab withdrawal direction, a section from a start point at which the average value of solid phase ratios along a thickness direction at a widthwise center of a slab is within a range of 0.4 or more and 0.8 or less to an end point at which the average value of solid phase ratios along the thickness direction at the widthwise center of the slab is greater than the average value of solid phase ratios at the start point and is 1.0 or less is set as a first section. The slab is cooled by water in the first section at a water flow rate per surface area of the slab within a range of 50 L/(m2×min) or more and 2,000 L/(m2×min) or less.

Abstract: A steel continuous casting method effectively reducing center segregation occurring inside a cast piece includes cooling of a cast piece performed with a water volume density per surface area of the cast piece in a first section set within a range of 50 to 2000 L/(m2×min) or lower. The first section is a range along a cast piece withdrawing direction in a continuous casting machine, from a start point at which an average value of a solid phase ratio along a thickness direction at a final solidified part in a cast piece width direction is 0.8 or lower to an end point at which the average value of the solid phase ratio along the thickness direction at the final solidified part in the cast piece width direction is higher than the solid phase ratio at the start point but not higher than 1.0.

Abstract: Provided is a continuous casting method of steel that prevents a solidification completion position from being changed even when a drawing speed V of a cast slab is changed. The method includes drawing a cast slab by setting a drawing speed V0 while spraying cooling water to the cast slab at a cooling water spray amount W0 [kg/ton-cast slab]. Then, changing the drawing speed to the speed V1 while spraying cooling water to the cast slab at a cooling water spray amount W1 [kg/ton-cast slab]. The method further includes spraying cooling water to the cast slab at a cooling water spray amount Wt [kg/ton-cast slab] during a period of time t that is obtained by dividing a target length Lt by the drawing speed V0. The water spray amount Wt satisfying either formula (1): Wt W1 under a condition of V1>V0.
