    摘要: Cationically crosslinkable polyorganosiloxane compositions, well suited for providing antiadhesive coatings on a wide variety of shaped substrates via the photochemical/electron beam crosslinking thereof, include a catalytically effective amount of an onium borate of an element of Groups 15 to 17 of the Periodic Table, the anionic borate moiety of which onium borate having the formula:[BX.sub.a R.sub.b ].sup.-in which a and b are integers ranging from 0 to 4 and a+b=4; the symbols X are each a halogen atom when a ranges up to 3 and an OH functional group when a ranges up to 2; and the symbols R, which may be identical or different, are each a phenyl radical substituted by at least one electron-withdrawing substituent or by at least two halogen atoms, or an aryl radical containing at least two aromatic ring members, or such aryl radical bearing at least one electron-withdrawing substituent.

    摘要: The present invention relates to initiators for the polymerization and/or crosslinking, cationically and under photochemical and/or thermal activation and/or activation by a beam of electrons, of monomers and/or polymers containing organofunctional groups. The said initiators are of the type comprising an onium salt of an element from groups 15 to 17 of the Periodic Table (Chem & Eng News, Vol 63, N5, 26, of 4 Feb. 1985) and they are characterized in that they contain at least one polymerization and/or crosslinking accelerator chosen from .alpha.-hydroxylated carboxylic acid esters such as, for example, lactic acid esters. Another subject of the invention is compositions based on at least one cationically crosslinkable polyorganosiloxane and on at least one initiator.

    摘要: A method of depolymerizing galactomannan-type polysaccharide polymers and xanthan, preferably galactomannans, to a pre-selected lower molecular weight by irradiation with high energy electron beams. The preferred galactomannans for treatment according to this method are guar gum, guar splits and hydroxypropyl guar. In a preferred embodiment the guar gum is depolymerized preferably to a molecular weight of about 150,000 Daltons to about 200,000 Daltons. The depolymerized guar has a polydispersity of less than about 3.0 and is useful in oil well fracturing to enhance oil production.

    摘要: The invention concerns a novel method for preparing tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate derivatives of general formula MB(C6F5)4, M being selected among Na+, Li+, or K+, wherein: (a) a C6F5X solution, X being selected among H, Cl, Br or I, in anhydrous butylic ether is contacted with an alkyllithium, the mol ratio of C6F5X/alkyllithium being 1 to 1.1, and the alkyl radical, linear or branched comprising 1 to 10 carbon atoms; (b) the resulting product is contacted with previously non-dissolved BR3, R, identical or different being selected among a chlorine atom, a fluorine atom, a bromine atom, an alkoxy radical comprising between 1 and 4 carbon atoms.
