Abstract: A text fixture supports a test article in selected positions relative to a fixed point within the test article. A stylus extends from the test article through slots in two spaced-apart positioning plates. Abstract: A missile guidance system is provided in which a sensor is pivotally mounted on the missile in a gimbal system having two degrees of freedom. The sensor is controlled during flight in such a manner that the axis of the sensor is aligned in a direction determined by the acceleration of the missile, and the sensor locates the target and determines the angle between the direction of the sensor axis and the direction of the target. Guidance information is derived from this angle for directing the missile toward the target. Compensation for gravity may be provided by means of a spring suitably arranged in the gimbal system. The sensor system may be either active or passive and may be responsive to any desired type of signal from the target.

Abstract: A control valves includes a body defining a central cavity arranged between a fluid inlet and outwardly-diverging first and second fluid outlets respectively disposed in a common transverse plane. A valve member is arranged in the cavity for rotation between first and second operating positions where a transverse fluid passage through the valve member alternatively communicates the fluid inlet with one or the other of the fluid outlets. To minimize fluid turbulence when the valve member is rotated to an alternate operating position, the fluid passage has a convergent entrance for maintaining the passage in permanent communication with the fluid inlet as well as an oblong exit opening with spaced side walls for enabling the exit opening to temporarily span the first and second fluid outlets as the valve member is turned between its respective operating positions.

Abstract: A holster worn by a shooter for supporting a broken barrel shotgun. The holster is preferably constructed from a first and a second piece of leather. The second piece of leather has a lobe and a cut-out portion so that when the two pieces of leather have been molded, an opening is defined at the lobe. The two pieces of leather also form a belt loop within the holster so that it can be worn by a shooter. The trigger guard of the shotgun is inserted into the opening with the barrel extending toward the ground approximately parallel to the shooter's leg. The trigger guard rests against the second piece of leather with the stock extending over the cut-out portion, so that the lobe will prevent the shotgun from falling away from the shooter. Therefore, in this position the shotgun is supported in a safe and secure manner without the shooter having to manually support the gun.
