Spaced apart wing portions extend generally upward and laterally outward relative to the securing portion. The wing portions are configured so that fluid tubing secured to an outlet of the compression control unit can be wrapped around the wing portions when the compression control unit is mounted on the bed unit.

摘要： A reduced noise pneumatic compression garment comprises a flexible member having a bladder that can conform to a limb of the human body. A port in fluid communication with the bladder has an air flow path through which pressurized air is delivered to the bladder to inflate the bladder. A porous insert is located within the flow path of the port between the air inlet and the air outlet is provided for reducing noise from air flow through the port into the inflatable chamber. A method of quietly inflating a pneumatic compression garment is also disclosed.

摘要： A pumping apparatus and pump set for use to deliver a supply of liquid to a patient. The feeding set has a conduit for the nutrient liquid and a safety interlock device associated with the conduit. The pumping apparatus has a pumping device and a control system for controlling operation of the pump. An electromagnetic radiation source is operatively connected to the control system of the pump for emitting an electromagnetic radiation signal in a direction for striking the safety interlock device of the feeding set. The safety interlock device being adapted to affect the direction of the electromagnetic radiation. An electromagnetic radiation detector is operatively connected to the control system for receiving the electromagnetic radiation signal when the direction is affected by the safety interlock device, and provides an indication to the control system that the feeding set conduit is properly positioned in the feeding pump.
