摘要： A liner-carton assembly includes a tear-tape mechanism for use with an offset printing operation. The assembly includes a carton having a top, a bottom, a pair of opposing sides and a flip-open top section including the top and a portion of the opposing sides. The liner is constructed and arranged to provide structural support to the carton and it includes a pair of opposing sides for fitting the liner snugly inside the carton. Moreover, the liner includes a tear-tape material on an outside surface thereof, and the carton includes means adjacent the tear-tape for tearing the top section along at least three sides to access the inside of the carton. Further, a two-part tab, which includes a first part connected to the tear-tape material and a second part connected to the carton, permits a user to hand-grasp the tab and pull the tear-tape material and separate the top section of the carton.

摘要： A carton-liner assembly comprises an outer carton and a liner disposed within and affixed to the carton. The carton includes opposing top and bottom carton walls, opposing front and back carton walls, and opposing first and second side carton walls. The front carton wall and the opposing side carton walls include a continuous tear strip for opening up the carton from a sealed form to form a lid hingedly connected to a base. The liner includes a front liner wall and opposing side liner walls adjacent to the respective front carton wall and opposing side carton walls of the carton. The liner optionally includes a back liner wall adjacent to the back carton wall of the carton. To reduce the weight of the carton-liner assembly, the walls of the liner include a series of stripped-out areas. Preferably, the stripped-out areas are elongated in a vertical direction and have respective arrow-shaped lower ends. Each liner wall includes a pair of stripped-out areas separated by a center strut. The liner walls intersect at vertical corner posts, and the pair of stripped-out areas on each liner wall are spaced away from these vertical corner posts.

摘要： A flip-top recloseable carton is provided in the form of a six-sided parallelopiped enclosure having opposing top and bottom walls, front and back walls, and side walls formed from corresponding panels and flaps defined on a unitary, continuous paperboard blank. The outer layers of the side walls and the front wall are provided with horizontal tear-strip sections which form an integral and continuous tear strip that permits a user to open the carton from its sealed form. Repeated closing and positive locking of the carton is realized by use of a die-cut portion on the inner layer of the front wall which includes a proximal flap and an island portion dispersed in forcibly displaceable mutual engagement. Once the engaging flap and island portion are disengaged forcibly by opening the carton lid, reclosing thereof leads to snap re-engagement of the flap and island elements accompanied by positive tactile and audible feedback indicative of effective carton closure.

摘要： A collapsible foldable dispensing carton is provided having a pair of opposed first wall panels and a pair of opposed second wall panels foldably connected thereto. Each wall panel is provided with a top closure flap. The flaps are in overlapping relation when the carton is in a set up mode. One of the closure flaps is the outermost flap and has a dispensing opening formed therein. Another of the closure flaps subtending the outermost flap is provided with an aperture in registry with the dispensing opening when the flaps are in overlapping relation whereby the dispensing opening communicates with the carton interior. Mounted on the outermost flap is a fitment formed of thin material. The fitment includes a base section affixed to the exposed surface of the outermost flap circumjacent the dispensing opening, and a cover section adjustably mounted on the base section for movement between open and close positions. One of the top closure flaps, other than the outermost flap, is provided with a cutout in registry with the dispensing opening when the carton is in a collapsed mode whereby the collapsed carton has a substantially uniform thickness throughout.

摘要： A pour spout closure of unitary construction is provided for mounting on the surface of a container and in proximity to an opening formed therein. The closure includes a base section having portions attached to the container surface. Foldable flaps are affixed in a folded relation to portions of the base section which are disposed on opposite sides of the container opening. Peripheral segments of the folded flaps are disposed proximate the perimeter of the container opening. Hingedly connected to the base section is a cover section which is selectively moveable between open and close positions. The cover section is provided with a protuberance sized to enter the container opening when the cover section is in a reclose position. A laterally extending rim is provided on the cover section which encompasses an exposed surface of the protuberance. Peripheral segments of the flaps are yieldable and frictionally engage the cover section and retain same in the reclose position.

摘要： A forward-tilting display container with fold-out display doors which is adjustable between an enclosed position and a display position. In the enclosed position, the fold-out display doors comprise a portion of the lid of the container, with the remainder of the lid defining a pedestal-forming portion. The lid is hingedly connected to a display panel on the side of the container. The container is adjusted to the display position by folding the lid back so that the display doors overlay the display panel and the pedestal-forming portion lies underneath the container. In the display position, the display doors are opened to expose both the display panel and the display doors, with the pedestal-forming portion of the lid supporting the container in a forward-tilting position.

摘要： A paperboard container composed of a unitary, continuous blank comprises opposing top and bottom walls, a plurality of side walls bridging the top and bottom walls, and a paperboard pour spout closure. A closure layer is formed in the first side wall and is adhered to the plug. The closure layer and the plug form the pour spout closure. The pour spout closure is pivotally coupled to the first side wall for movement between closed and open positions. The plug is detachably linked to a remainder of the backboard. The plug is linked to the backboard when the pour spout closure is initially in the closed position. The plug is detached from the remainder of the backboard and leaves behind a hole in response to opening the pour spout closure. The plug is inserted into the hole in response to reclosing the pour spout closure. The first side wall forms at least one prong adjacent to the closure layer. The prong engages the plug in response to closing the pour spout closure.

The carton is a six-sided enclosure including opposed top and bottom walls, opposing front and back walls, and opposing end walls. A glue flap is integrally attached to the top edge of the inner layer of the front wall along substantially its full length. The glue flap has a distal attachment portion and a proximal locking portion. The two portions are joined along a full length line of weakness. The distal attachment portion is secured to the inner surface of the outer layer of the front wall above the tear strip.
