    摘要: Memory-oriented or pattern matching games use game pieces having indicia which become excited responsive to a brief exposure to strong light or another activating event for emitting colored light during a short period of time. The games use the excitable indicating medium to present certain information to the players for a short time period. Thereafter, the players are required to use their memory of the temporarily-presented information in order to accomplish some task. In some embodiments, the games present a random arrangement of color-coding which soon becomes invisible after the excitement subsides. Then, the players must use their memory of the game piece locations to select only those pieces which are assigned to them. In another embodiment of the invention, a maze is printed in excitable ink which is visible only during the short time period of excitement. The players must try to complete the maze before the pattern, or their memory of it, dissipates. In a fourth embodiment, players receive a question or clue, and must select one among several answers. After their selection, the correct answer is revealed by exposure of excitable ink to a strong light or other activating event.

    摘要: A two handed toss and catch toy has a pistol-like body with a drive spring biased trigger rod to store energy in a drive spring in response to a manual motion. The stored energy flings a ball upwardly when the trigger rod is released. An upwardly directed basket is provided for catching balls as they fall back to earth. A tunnel magazine extends from the basket to a position where the balls are struck by the trigger arm in order to recycle caught balls for the next flinging.

    摘要: A child's toy is a mechanical hand having at least articulated fingers, and perhaps an articulated thumb, associated with a palm section. A control compartment attached to and extending from the palm section includes fingertip controls which selectively move the articulated fingers. A clip-on special effects box, also operated by fingertip control, may be added to the mechanical hand in order to provide a weapon, sound effect, laser beam, or the like. In the embodiment described herein, the weapon is a set of four claws which may extend from or retract into the box.

The action toy may be configured as a shotgun accepting a plurality of prefilled shell capsules into its breechblock for firing through its barrel. It may also be configured as a missile launcher in which the capsules are mounted to the front of the launcher and the water is ejected directly from the capsule against the target. In yet another embodiment, the invention is configured as a crossbow with the bow loading the spring-loaded mechanism and a water stream obtained on release of the bow. In a still further embodiment, the action toy is fitted with a double feature nozzle for either producing a stream of water or propelling an object.

    摘要: A toy simulates an arcade game. A compartment at the top of a box has a transparent bottom and contains game pieces that may be manipulated from a control panel at a front of a box. A mirror in the box reflects the image of the game pieces as seen through the transparent bottom. To play the game, a user looks at the reflection image of the game pieces while he manipulates the controls at the front of the box. Here, the game is a pinball machine in which the transparent bottom has a plurality of upstanding pegs which divert balls into random paths. Any balls which are caught by a manipulation of the controls are diverted into one scoring path. Any balls which are not so caught fall into another scoring path. The invention provides for releasing a selected number of objects at one time to change the required skill level to play. Also, by changing the direction in which the transparent bottom slants, different games maybe provided.
