摘要： The specification discloses a multi-wheel game-of-chance having at least two groups of spinning wheels, wherein each group includes at least two concentric spinning wheels having a viewable surface face thereon. A plurality of indicia are positioned on the peripherals of the viewable surface face of each wheel such that all indicia on each wheel is viewable to the user. Bet areas are positioned at various locations around at least a portion of each group of wheels; along a line joining the center of any two groups of wheels; and/or a junction between various radially positioned lines extending from the center of two or more groups of wheels. Each bet area represents a possible payline with various pay ratios depending on the probability of various predetermined combinations. For instance, a one-group combination payline has the lowest pay ratio; a two-group payline requires the combination from two groups of wheels and thus, has a higher pay ratio than a one-group payline; and as additional group combination paylines are added, the higher the pay ratio can become.

摘要： A device for dispensing prizes includes a housing having a plurality of compartments, a door attached to the housing for coving the compartments, and a lock for limiting access to the compartments. The contents of the compartments are visible from the outside. Each compartment contains a prize, such as a diamond. The housing may be part of, or linked to, a gaming device. When a player wins a game, which entitles the player to select a tangible award, the device signals this fact to the player. The player then selects a compartment by pressing an input device located on the housing. An attendant opens an external door, and inserts an electronic key into a receptacle associated with the selected compartment, and enters a required code into the key. The compartment then opens, and the player obtains the prize. The device may also include an inventory control system which preferably uses an RFID apparatus for monitoring the contents of each compartment, and for keeping records of an inventory of prizes.

摘要： Gaming apparatus has rotatable disks turning about a common axis of rotation and having annular bands of indicia of different diameters on faces of the disks which extend toward the axis of rotation. A player's winnings are determined by alignment of particular indicia along one or more radii of the disks after a period of rotation. In one form of the invention, the disks are supported, driven and held in a centered relationship with the axis of rotation by gear sets situated at angular intervals around the periphery of the disks which engage gear teeth at the rims of the disks. In another form, the disks are axially spaced apart flat plates of progressively greater diameter extending from drive shafting at the axis of rotation. In another form, the disks are at least partially formed of transparent material enabling viewing of indicia on disks which are behind other disks.

摘要： A slot machine having multiple spinning reels coaxially mounted in a frame for relative rotation. All machine movements are electrically activated by pulling a starting handle. The handle operates an electric switch which, in turn, initiates sequencing of the machine by a processor. A spinning-arresting mechanism for each reel is constructed as a unitary module which can be plugged into the machine or readily removed therefrom. The module includes start and stop solenoids cooperating with a single, spring-powered lever and associated linkage for guiding the lever through a three phase movement. During the first phase, the lever moves from its reel arresting position to its reel spinning position. During this movement, the lever engages a sprocket connected with the reel and thereby imparts rotational movement to the reel. In the second phase, the lever, after having completed the spinning of the reel, moves towards a cocked position where the lever rests out of contact with the sprocket. During the third phase, the lever moves from its cocked position back into engagement with the sprocket for arresting the rotation of the reel when a preselected peripheral reel field appears at the display window. The first and third movement phases are powered by springs which form part of the module. The second movement phase is effected by a power-driven cam of the machine which engages appropriate linkage of the module and applies the required energy to stress the springs for powering the lever during its first and third phases.

摘要： A fibre optic light pen including a hollow elongate cylindrical housing having a tip portion and a base portion, and having an elongate cylindrical actuator positioned for axial movement relative to and within said housing tip portion is described. The actuator is operable between an extended position at which the actuator point portion projects outwardly from the housing tip portion, and a retracted position at which the actuator point portion is pressed within the housing hollow tip portion. An axial bore extends through the actuator and contains therein a light conductive rod which extends axially along said bore from the actuator's point portion to the actuator's base portion. A fibre optic light conductor is secured within the hollow housing base portion in such a manner that the light conductive rod focuses light on the light conductor when the actuator is recessed within the hollow tip portion of the housing. When the actuator extends from the hollow tip housing portion, the light conductive rod is moved by the actuator away from the fibre optic light conductor such that light is not transmitted to the light conductor from the light conductive rod. The invention also includes a switch that produces a switching signal when the actuator is recessed within the hollow housing.
