Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a liquid crystal display panel including a first substrate and a second substrate opposed to each other, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first polarizer provided to be in contact with the first substrate, a second polarizer provided to be in contact with the second substrate, a cover glass, and a light-shielding layer covering a part of a bottom surface and an edge portion of the first substrate, an edge portion and a part of an upper surface of the second substrate, and an edge portion of the second polarizer; a frame; and a light-shielding cushion member provided between the frame and the liquid crystal display panel.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a thin film transistor substrate and a counter substrate having a transparent conductive film formed on the counter substrate, a mold frame fixing the display panel on the mold frame, a conductive rubber cushion that lies astride the counter substrate and the mold frame and is attached to both the counter substrate and the mold frame, and a metal frame, made of metal, that covers the edge of the display panel and the mold frame from above the conductive rubber cushion in a plan view. The metal frame has a recess. A first surface of the recess is lower than the surrounding thereof. A second surface the recess is higher than the surrounding thereof to be in contact with the conductive rubber cushion.
