Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate which sandwiches a liquid crystal between itself and the first substrate, wherein the first substrate has thin film transistors and a wiring connection portion in which are formed terminals connected to the thin film transistors, a wiring substrate connected to the terminals is disposed in the wiring connection portion, the second substrate is a plastic substrate, and has an adhesive layer and an inorganic insulating layer formed on top of the adhesive layer, and the adhesive layer covers the wiring connection portion and one portion of the wiring substrate.

Abstract: A glass cutter is provided which can form, using a wheel, a uniform crack in glass even when a projection or an earlier-formed scribe line is present on the glass. When the wheel is moved on the glass, a fracture layer is formed causing a rib mark to be formed below the fracture layer and a crack to be formed below the rib mark. To cut the glass, the crack is required to be formed uniformly. Applying a force to resist the rotating force of the wheel makes it possible to form a uniform crack even when a projection is present on the glass. This improves glass cutting yield.

Abstract: A display device includes a plurality of pixels in matrix, a substrate on which the plurality of pixels are formed, and a support member under the substrate. The substrate is arranged on a front surface of the support member and a plurality of recesses are formed on a rear surface of the support member. Abstract: A display device includes a plastic substrate and a thin film transistor layer including at least one thin film transistor. The thin film transistor layer is disposed on the plastic substrate via a resin film having no viscosity or adhesion and an adhesive film.
