    摘要: A disposable device for the sterile transfer of fluids, such as liquids or gases, includes a body, a bore formed through at least a portion of the interior of the body, and a linearly moveable plunger contained within the bore. The body is formed from a rotating section and a stationary section. Partial rotation of the rotating section around a portion of the stationary section and the plunger drives the plunger linearly within the bore, opening and closing the device. The plunger includes at least a first and a second opening, and a fluid channel in the interior of the plunger connecting the first and second openings forming a fluid pathway to downstream components when the device is open. A termination component at one end of the plunger connects to a downstream component. A flange at one end of the body attaches to an upstream component. When the device is closed, the upstream end of the plunger is in alignment with the upstream flange of the body, forming a steamable sterilized in place face and a sterile barrier.

    摘要: A disposable device for the sterile transfer of fluids, such as liquids or gases, includes a body, a bore formed through at least a portion of the interior of the body, and a linearly moveable plunger contained within the bore. The body is formed from a rotating section and a stationary section. Partial rotation of the rotating section around a portion of the stationary section and the plunger drives the plunger linearly within the bore, opening and closing the device.     摘要: A method and a device are provided for interconnecting, sealed against contamination, the ends of tubes by two cooperating connecting means, each having an inlet and an outlet for connection to each other. The connecting means each have a connecting plane, into which the outlets open, each covered by a protective means, and which are movable into engagement with each other with the outlets facing each other. A locking element, which is slidably arranged on one connecting means, is, in a controlled manner and without interruption of the sliding movement, movable onto the other connecting means to a distinct end position. The protective means are removable by means of the locking element when this is moved, and the outlets are sealingly pressable against each other. The locking element is prevented from moving until a predetermined force is applied in the moving direction.

    摘要: A method and a device are provided for interconnecting, sealed against contamination, the ends of tubes by two cooperating connecting components, each having an inlet and an outlet for connection to each other. The connecting components each have a connecting plane, into which the outlets open, each covered by a protective component, and which are movable into engagement with each other with the outlets facing each other. A locking element, which is slidably arranged on one connecting component, is, in a controlled manner and without interruption of the sliding movement, movable onto the other connecting component to a distinct end position. The protective components are removable by means of the locking element when this is moved, and the outlets are sealingly pressable against each other. The locking element is prevented from moving until a predetermined force is applied in the moving direction.

A second sealing portion (14) of the closure element, which is an enclosing portion spaced from said axis, is arranged in contact with a support portion (25) of the valve housing (2). An abutment means (16) is arranged in contact along the periphery of said second sealing portion (14) in such a manner that said second sealing portion (14) is arranged between the support portion (25) and the abutment means (16). The abutment means (16) is arranged to transmit a force via said second sealing portion (14) toward the support portion (25) to provide a seal.
