摘要： An apparatus is provided for removably mounting an electronic device to a surface and for positioning the device with respect to the surface. The apparatus includes a cradle securable to the electronic device and a pivot link, which has a first end and a second end. The first end being pivotally coupled to the cradle. The apparatus also includes a support having a mounting pedestal coupled thereto. The second end of the pivot link is pivotally coupled to the support. The apparatus has a base which has a lower face that can be coupled to the surface and an upper face. The upper face has a receiving slot for the pedestal, the slot having a shoulder extending thereabove to engage the pedestal. The slot further has an open end to allow the pedestal to be moved within the slot. The base further includes a releasable locking arm having a retaining ridge located in line with the open end of the slot to selectively hold the pedestal within the slot. The pedestal of the apparatus can be placed within the slot and held within the slot by the retaining ridge of the locking arm. Further, the electronic device can be positioned with respect to the surface by pivoting the cradle and the link, and by rotating the pedestal within the slot. In an alternate embodiment, a suction cup mount is utilized.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for removably mounting an electronic device to a surface and for positioning the device with respect to the surface. Further, the electronic device can be positioned with respect to the surface by pivoting the cradle and the link, and by rotating the pedestal within the slot. In an alternate embodiment, a suction cup mount is utilized.

The electronic device includes a display in communication with the processor and a touch panel positioned on a surface of the housing. The display is viewable through a touch panel mounted to an opening in the housing. 摘要： A friction mount apparatus for supporting an electronic device (10) on a surface (14). The apparatus (10) includes a body (16), anchors (18,20,22), and a receiving member (24). Body (16) includes a recessed surface (30) on the bottom thereof into which a foam layer (36) is secured, wherein the foam layer (36) contacts a mounting surface (14) and resists moving relative to the surface (14). The anchors (18,20,22) are connected to the body (16) via flexible necks (38,40,42) and have bottom surfaces formed of soft material and weighted cores to press the bottom surfaces against the mounting surface to resist movement relative to the mounting surface (14) and thus further stabilize the apparatus (10). The receiving member (24) is secured to a top surface of the body (16) and is adapted to releasably retain an electronic device (12).

摘要： An apparatus is provided for removably mounting an electronic device to a surface where such mounting can be accomplished using only one hand. The apparatus includes a mounting bracket that is securable to the electronic device. The bracket has a mounting pedestal coupled to it which has a lower ratchet surface. The apparatus further has a base which has a lower face that can be coupled to the surface, and an upper face which has a receiving slot for the pedestal. The slot has a shoulder extending thereabove to engage the pedestal, and an open end that allows the pedestal to be moved within the slot. The base further includes a releasable locking arm which has a retaining ridge located in line with the open end of the slot to selectively hold the pedestal within the slot. The locking arm has an upper pawl surface located to engage the ratchet surface when the pedestal is located within the slot. The ratchet and pawl surface provide a mechanism to hold the mounting bracket and the electronic device in a desired rotational position. The pedestal can thus be placed within the slot and held within the slot by the retaining ridge of the locking arm, and the mounting bracket can be rotated with respect to the base by rotating the pedestal within the slot. The pawl surface and ratchet surface cooperate to hold the electronic device in the desired position.

摘要： A mounting device that securely supports an electronic device to a surface such as a vehicle dashboard. The mounting device comprises a flexible base for placement on a mounting surface and a bendable frame attached to or otherwise coupled with the base to permit the base to be shaped to at least partially conform to contours on the mounting surface. The base may be partially formed of a material that provides sufficient friction between its lower surface and the mounting surface to resist unwanted movement. The frame may be formed of aluminum and may include a central portion and a plurality of appendages each independently movable about at least two axes of movement. Each of the appendages may include a connecting link joined to the central portion and a pair of arms extending from the connecting link and movable relative to one another and relative to the central portion.
