摘要: A gimbal and a gimbal control method are disclosed. The gimbal control method may include: acquiring attitude information of a gimbal; determining whether the gimbal is in a falling state based upon the attitude information; and when the gimbal is in the falling state, triggering a protection mode and controlling the gimbal to rotate to a set attitude. The set attitude may be an attitude at which the gimbal is not easy to be broken from falling, thereby reducing the probability of the gimbal being broken from falling.

摘要: The present application discloses an articulating support arm with one or more improved friction joint designs that use a non-annular bushing. In particular, the bushing is designed to interact with another portion of the friction joint to prevent rotational movement of the bushing, thereby minimizing the risk of joint malfunction. A bushing that interacts with a larger percentage of the width of a friction cylinder as compared to prior art devices, thereby improving the performance of the joint, is also disclosed. The improved friction joint according to the present invention may comprise an arm joint and/or tilter joint.

The first actuator and the second actuator are fixed in position and orientation relative to one another and relative to a support structure. The support structure is configured to support at least one of the first actuator or the second actuator.

The first fastener structure and the joint are configured to respectively provide a first degree of freedom of motion and a second degree of freedom of motion of the receiving element with respect to the base. The movement of the receiving element at the first degree of freedom has substantially consistent resistance through first part of a first full range of motion associated with the first degree of freedom of motion.

摘要: The present disclosure describes devices and methods for providing movement of a payload about at least two degrees of freedom. A gimbal mechanism as described herein can provide rotation of a payload about at least two different axes, wherein the rotation about the two axes is controlled by two actuators that can be actuated independently of one another. The two actuators can be fixed in position and orientation relative to one another, such that neither actuator is driven by the other. Therefore, the gimbal mechanism can control movement of the payload about two degrees of freedom in a parallel manner. The gimbal mechanisms described herein can have a compact configuration that allows for minimizing the volume and weight of the gimbal mechanisms, while improving the stability of movement provided by the gimbal mechanisms.
