摘要： Disclosed are a bookbinding unit and an image forming apparatus having the same. The bookbinding unit includes a bookbinding unit main body, a pair of stack trays disposed in the bookbinding unit main body so as to support print media on the upper surfaces of the stack trays and a folding knife movable in the space between the pair of the stack trays to fold the print media on the stack trays and to move the folded print media into the space between the pair of the stack trays. The pair of the stack trays is rotatable in conformity with the movement of the print media into the space between the stack trays to provide a surface contact guiding of the folded print media.

The light scanning unit to form an electrostatic latent image corresponding to image information on a photosensitive body may include a light source, a deflector to deflect light generated from the light source in a main scanning direction, an imaging lens to focus deflected light to the photosensitive body, and at least a reflection mirror to change a traveling direction of light. A deviation of light quantity generated in a main scanning direction by a light quantity ratio generated by internal absorption of the imaging lens and a light quantity ratio generated by a polarization state of light may be compensated for by the reflection mirror.

摘要： An image forming apparatus having an improved structure to enable a user to conveniently operate the image forming apparatus at a front of the image forming apparatus, and a method thereof. The image forming apparatus includes a main body formed with a discharge port at a front portion, a printing unit mounted inside the main body and disposed adjacent to a front panel of the main body, a feeding unit to feed paper printed by the printing unit toward a rear panel of the main body, and a discharge reversal unit to reverse a moving direction of the paper fed by the feeding unit to feed the paper to the discharge port. A sensor to detect a moving position of the paper and a paper guide guiding movement of the paper is mounted between the feeding unit and the discharge reversal unit.

摘要： An image forming apparatus and an image forming method using the same. The image forming apparatus includes a discharge unit which has a driving roller rotating in forward and reverse directions and first and second driven rollers engaged with the driving roller to rotate together therewith, a duplex print unit which feeds the paper again to a developing unit so that the paper printed on a first surface is subsequently printed on a second surface, and a control unit which controls a rotational direction of the driving roller so as to move a first sheet of paper between the driving roller and the first driven roller and move a second sheet of paper between the driving roller and the second driven roller. Accordingly, the image forming apparatus is capable of controlling the forward movement of the second sheet of paper without interference with the reverse movement of the first sheet of paper, thereby decreasing a time required to perform duplex printing.
