    摘要： A sheet conveyer, comprising: a 1st conveying roller; a 1st support part to support the 1st conveying roller; a 1st helical gear to rotate together with the 1st conveying roller and to generate thrust in a particular direction; a 2nd conveying roller; a 2nd support part to support the 2nd conveying roller; a 2nd helical gear to generate thrust in the particular direction; a 3rd helical gear to engage with the 1st helical gear; a 4th helical gear to engage with the 2nd helical gear; and a clutch to connect or disconnect transmission of a driving force between the 3rd helical gear and the 4th helical gear, wherein: when the clutch is disconnected, the 1st and 2nd conveying rollers are disposed at an initial position, and when the clutch is connected, the 1st and 2nd conveying rollers move from the initial position in the particular direction.

The cover may include guiding portions configured to define a return path for duplex printing. In another example, the portion may correspond to a document reading unit including an outer casing. A portion of the outer casing may be configured to guide a recording sheet that is conveyed out of a housing of the image forming apparatus by a switchback roller. In one example, the switchback roller may convey a recording sheet to a position above an upper surface of the outer casing.

    摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a sheet feed unit which feeds a sheet to an image forming unit forming an image on the sheet, a re-transport roller which reverses the sheet with a toner image fixed on the sheet and re-transports the sheet to the image forming unit, and a control unit which controls a sheet feed operation of the sheet feed unit for feeding the sheet. As the temperature of the re-transport roller sensed by the temperature sensing unit is decreased, the control unit retards the timing at which the sheet feed unit starts the sheet feed operation when a duplex image formation in which the image is formed on both sides of the sheet is performed after a one-side image formation is completed.

The movable guide section (90) moves in conjunction with the covering member (80), is located at the first position to guide a recording medium reversed by the reversing section (73) from a first reverse path (Pr1) to a second reverse path (Pr2) when the covering member (80) is located at the closed position, and is located at the second position when the covering member (80) is located at the open position.

    摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an image forming unit, and a retransporting unit. The retransporting unit includes a transporting roller for applying a transporting force to the sheet and an input portion disposed at a position shifted upstream of the transporting roller in a retransporting direction. The input portion is configured to receive an input of a drive force supplied from the apparatus body. The retransporting unit further includes a drive shaft extending in a retransporting direction. The drive shaft is configured to transmit the drive force from the input portion toward the transporting roller by rotating about an axis thereof. A height of the image forming apparatus may be reduced by this configuration.
