摘要: The present invention provides a method of treating a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation with a treatment fluid whereby fine particulate flowback is reduced or prevented. The method includes the steps of providing a fluid suspension including a mixture of a particulate coated with a tackifying compound, pumping the suspension into a subterranean formation and depositing the mixture within the formation whereby the tackifying compound retards movement of at least a portion of any fine particulate within the formation upon flow of fluids from the subterranean formation through the wellbore. Alternatively, the tackifying compound may be introduced into a subterranean formation in a diluent containing solution to deposit upon previously introduced particulates to retard movement of such particulates and any fines subject to flow with production of fluids from the subterranean formation.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation with a particulate laden fluid whereby particulate flowback is reduced or prevented. The method includes the steps of providing a fluid suspension including a mixture of a particulate upon which at least a partial coating of a tackifying compound is formed as a result of admixture of the tackifying compound therewith, pumping the suspension into a subterranean formation and depositing the mixture within the formation whereby the tackifying compound retards movement of at least a portion of the particulate within the formation upon flow of fluids from the subterranean formation.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation with a particulate laden fluid whereby particulate flowback is reduced or prevented. The method includes the steps of providing a fluid suspension including a mixture of a particulate, a tackifying compound and a multifunctional material, pumping the suspension into a subterranean formation and depositing the mixture within the formation whereby the tackifying compound retards movement of at least a portion of the particulate within the formation upon flow of fluids from the subterranean formation and said multifunctional material subsequently reacts with said tackifying compound to consolidate at least a portion of said particulate within said formation.

摘要: The present invention provides methods of protecting ferrous metal well tubular goods and the like disposed in a well bore penetrating a subterranean formation from corrosion. The method basically includes the steps of introducing a liquid or solution of a tackifying compound having ferrous metal corrosion inhibition properties into the well bore whereby the tackifying compound is coated onto the tubular goods thereby providing extended corrosion protection to the tubular goods. Thereafter, formation fluids are produced from the subterranean formation.

摘要: Compositions and methods for the protection of steel and metal well equipment used in high temperature oil and gas wells above 250.degree.F and more particularly in the range of about 300.degree.-550.degree.F for bottom hole temperatures. The basic composition is a trimer acid salt of a primary mono-amine and particularly useful is a primary amine such as a primary tallow amine having C.sub.9 -C.sub.24 carbon length. Other ingredients include a sulfonate, particularly an alkaryl sulfonate, as well as a mixture of dispersing agents or solvents specially utilizing a combination of a lower alkanol and a highly aromatic solvent as make up. Optionally there may be included a minor amount of a water-in-oil demulsifier. The reaction of the trimer acid with the mono-amine affords less opportunity for any further deleterious reaction or polymerization than as previous formulations utilizing polyamines with dimer acids and the like.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation by rapidly viscosifying a normally liquid hydrocarbon. The method is accomplished by admixing (i) an alkyl orthophosphate acid ester and (ii) an alkali metal hydroxide present in an amount sufficient to at least partially neutralize said ester and (iii) a reaction product resulting from the reaction of a source of aluminum or ferric ions with a C.sub.8 -C.sub.18 surface active amine solubilized in the presence of an organic solvent such as a C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 monohydric alcohol with the normally liquid hydrocarbon. The mixture rapidly viscosifies to a level sufficient to transport proppant and then can be introduced into a subterranean formation to treat the formation in a desired manner.
