    摘要: A fast handoff method of an Access Router includes receiving and storing at an Access Point a Router Advertisement message periodically sent from the Access Router to which the Access Point is connected, the Access Point being connected to at least one mobile node in wireless manner and supporting services to the at least one mobile node; generating at least one Care-of Address (CoA) at the Access Point, performing Duplicate Address detection, and storing the CoAs for which the Duplicate Address detection is successfully completed; forming, when a new mobile node enters a service-available range of the Access Point, a link to the new mobile node at the Access Point, including any of the stored CoAs in the Router Advertisement message, and sending the Router Advertisement message including the stored CoA to the new mobile node; and communicating the new mobile node to a network using the CoA included in the sent Router Advertisement message.

    摘要: A handover method of a mobile terminal device in a wireless local area network (WLAN) includes a mobile terminal device and at least two wireless access points (APs) which communicate with the mobile terminal device using particular radio resources. The mobile terminal device communicates with a wireless AP via a first radio resource, and receives signals from wireless APs via a second radio resource. The mobile terminal device arranges and stores the signals received from the wireless APs in a certain order of size. The mobile terminal device determines an AP for the handover by sequentially searching the stored APs when intensity of the signal received via the first radio resource is smaller than a predetermined value.

    摘要: A wireless local area network system capable of supporting host mobility services and an operation method therefor. The wireless local area network system includes a gateway performing the functions of a home agent in mobile wireless communication environments and sending prefix information; and access points, each access point allocating an Internet Protocol (IP) address to a mobile host within a range thereof by using prefix information of the gateway. Thereafter, each access point produces and sends a Binding Update list that corresponds to the mobile hosts to the gateway. Thus, the present invention supports the mobility for mobile hosts with or without a mobile IPv6 stack, in a wireless local area network.

    摘要: An automated system and method of establishing a local mobility domain (LMD) and a local mobility agent (LMA) on a mobile terminal node (MN) using Internet Protocol version (IPv6) preferably includes: establishing within the MN a newly contacted access router (AR) as the LMA and then receiving from the LMA and storing a list of neighboring ARs, which comprise the LMD. Each AR contains a stored list of neighboring ARs that are within a predetermined range of the AR, which is dynamically set by a network manager. The MN registers a retrieved local and regional address with both the LMA and a home agent (HA.) When the MN moves to a new AR, the stored list of the new AR is checked for the present LMA. The LMA is only changed to the new AR and re-registered with the HA if the new AR is in a different LMD.
