摘要: A disclosed method for implementing anti-tracking measures for a web browser includes refreshing anti-tracking data structure responsive to satisfying at least one of a set of anti-tracking refresh criteria. The anti-tracking data structure may include opt-out cookie data indicative of a set of opt-out cookies, uniform resource locator (URL) anti-tracking data indicative of a set of URLs associated with URL tracking, and Referer header field anti-tracking data indicative of a set of URLs susceptible to Referer header field tracking. Responsive to a web browser of a user device generating a request for a third-party web page specified by a browser URL, at least a portion of the browser URL is compared against the anti-tracking data structure. If a match in the URL anti-tracking data or the Referer header field anti-tracking data is detected, the browser URL may be modified. The refreshing of anti-tracking data may include pulling a current anti-tracking data structure from an anti-tracking server. Alternatively, the current anti-tracking data structure may be pushed from the anti-tracking server.

摘要: Systems and methods for measuring the performance of a provider of communications service are described. A plurality of mobile communications devices measure average power received, signal to noise ratio, voice quality, blocked and dropped calls, or any combinations of such measurements. The device may also receive a set of data identifying the location of the device. The device may transmit one or more communications signals to a server computer system with such measurements and location data. The measurements and location data may be stored in a database, and new data may be created and transmitted illustrating a subset of the measurements and location data.

摘要: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a metaphor engine having a controller, and a storage medium for storing instructions to be executed by the controller. The instructions, when executed by the controller, cause the controller to receive a measure of a mood of an individual, create a metaphor according to the measure of the mood of the individual, and present the metaphor to an entity requesting to interact with the individual. The measure of the mood can be synthesized from collected information associated with a behavior of the individual, and can indicate an availability of the individual and a receptiveness of the individual to accept a request to interact with an entity. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: An extraction method and apparatus is provided for obtaining quick, safe and highly sensitive testing of a variety of body fluids including saliva, blood, urine or other fluids for drugs of abuse or other analytes. The apparatus includes a latchable extraction wand for obtaining body fluid samples from a subject which is adapted to maximize the portion of the body fluid sample that will go into a graduated bottle containing a buffer solution, and a testing device wherein the sample will be received and into which test strips can be inserted to determine levels of drugs of abuse or other analyte in the sample. In one of the methods of the invention, energy is imparted to the sample and buffer solution, such as by shaking, and this facilitates reduction of sample viscosity, such as by promoting the breakdown of mucins when the sample is saliva.

The instructions, when executed by the controller, can cause the controller to retrieve collected information associated with a behavior of an individual, synthesize from the information a measure of a mood of the individual to interact with others, and transmit the measure to a system associated with the individual to manage requests between the individual and the entity. The measure of the mood of the individual can indicate an availability of the individual and a receptiveness of the individual to accept a request to interact with an entity. The measure can be described by a plurality of dimensions. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: Systems and methods for treating hazardous materials are disclosed. One exemplary implementation provides a system for rendering chemical weapons materiel less hazardous. This system includes a detonation chamber, an expansion chamber, and an emission treater adapted to treat gas from detonation of the chemical weapons materiel. The emission treater yields a substantially dry residual waste stream and a treated gas suitable for venting to atmosphere. The emission treater may treat the gas with an alkaline powder that interacts with the gas, producing the residual waste stream.
