    摘要: A disk drive shock mount is provided which attenuates shocks and vibrations to a disk drive (1, FIG. 1). The mount comprises a cradle 20 which is affixed to the disk drive housing, and a mounting plate 10 which may be used to suitably secure the disk drive assembly 1 to the next higher level of assembly. Flexible, compressible vibration isolators 50 of rubber or plastic are used to couple the cradle to the mounting plate. Rigid pins 70 on the cradle mate with grommet-enclosed apertures 60, 61 in the mounting plate to limit the degrees of motion permitted between the cradle and the mounting plate.

    摘要: A power supply includes a turn on circuit which coordinates turn on of all paralleled power supplies supplying power to an electronic system such as a computer system. Upon detecting that its input voltage is sufficient to turn on, the power supply waits for a delay period long enough to ensure readiness of any of the paralleled power supplies and then determines that it can start independently. Upon detecting bus voltage sufficient to ensure that another power supply has turned on, the power supply determines that another power supply has turned on. If either condition is determined, the power supply turns on and begins supplying power to the computer system. As a result, the first power supply to turn on will be detected by the other power supplies, and the other power supplies will turn on immediately thereafter.

    摘要: An attachment to a camera lens for creating a single slide transparency or photograph from two slide transparencies such that a before-and-after or combination picture can be formed on a single photograph or transparency comprising an enclosure formed from a plurality of opaque sides and one translucent side. An aperture is formed through one of the opaque sides and has a collar for connecting the slide duplicator to the camera lens. A slot located adjacent the single translucent side is used for engaging the slide transparencies that are to be photographed. Mirrors within the duplicator are arranged for reflecting and directing images formed from light rays passing through the translucent side and through the slides to the camera lens so that the camera can photograph the dual images onto a single transparency or photograph. First surface mirrors are used in lieu of regular mirrors for clearly and distinctly reflecting and directing the images.

    摘要: An electronic component (100) includes an electronic equipment enclosure (110), a plurality of electronic devices (121) inside the enclosure, air movers (130) capable of cooling the electronic devices, and a separate barometric vane dampers (201, 202) adjacent to each of the air movers. The electronic component includes N+1 air movers where N is a minimum number of air movers required to cool the enclosure. Additionally, each of the barometric vanes has at least one stop to limit its movement. Furthermore, the barometric vanes are contoured to direct air flow within the electronic equipment enclosure and are closeable by gravity when the air movers are stationary.
