摘要： A cable header connector includes a cable including a pair of signal wires, a contact sub-assembly terminated to the cable and a ground shield providing electrical shielding for the contact sub-assembly. The contact sub-assembly has a mounting block having contact channels therein. The contact sub-assembly has a pair of signal contacts each received in corresponding contact channels and held in the contact channels by an interference fit. The contact channels receive corresponding signal wires of the cable and position the signal wires in position adjacent to the corresponding signal contacts. The signal contacts are laser welded to the signal wires of the cable at terminating ends of the signal contacts after being positioned in the contact channels.

摘要： A pluggable connector that includes a connector housing having mating and loading ends and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The connector housing includes an insert cavity that opens to the mating end. The pluggable connector also includes a plug insert that is disposed within the insert cavity. The plug insert has an air core that extends in a direction along the longitudinal axis. The pluggable connector also including first and second differential pairs that extend along the longitudinal axis through the plug insert. Each of the first and second differential pairs includes two mating contacts that extend parallel to each other. The air core is located directly between the first and second differential pairs to control the electromagnetic coupling between the first and second differential pairs.

摘要： A pluggable connector that includes a housing having an inner surface that defines a housing cavity. The housing cavity extends along a central axis to an opening of the housing cavity. The opening is sized and shaped to mate with a mating connector moving along the central axis. The connector also includes a plug insert that is positioned within the housing cavity. The plug insert extends along the central axis and forms contact cavities therein that extend parallel to the central axis. The plug insert has an outer surface that is separated from the inner surface of the housing by a spacing. The connector also includes differential pairs. Each differential pair has two mating contacts that extend parallel to each other along a contact plane of the differential pair and within corresponding contact cavities. The contact planes of at least two adjacent differential pairs are perpendicular to one another.
