摘要： A high speed connector includes a plurality of wafer-style components in which two columns of conductive terminals are supported in an insulative support body, the body including an internal cavity disposed between the two columns of conductive terminals. The terminals are arranged in horizontal pairs, and the internal cavity defines an air channel between each horizontal pair of terminals arranged in the two columns of terminals. The terminals are further aligned with each other in each row so that horizontal faces of the terminals in the two rows face each other to thereby promote broadside coupling between horizontal pairs of terminals.

摘要： A metal post reinforcement arrangement adapted to be clamped about a broken section of a metal post, including two opposing brackets wherein when a bolt fixes one bracket to the other about the metal post the bolt divides the broken section into upper and lower portions so as to provide support and/or structural integrity when the reinforcement arrangement is clamped about the broken section and wherein each bracket has a substantially semi circular cross-sectional configuration along said bracket length that includes a longitudinal central segment terminating on opposed sides with internally directed curved edges with corresponding upwardly extended rounded shoulders that provide substantially triangular dimples on the internal side of the bracket, and wherein a peripheral flange stems out from a rounded dip from each substantially triangular dimple such that said brackets are adapted to be fixed around metal posts having different shapes.

摘要： A vortex-based temperature control system comprises a test chamber configured to receive a test article therein, a sensor disposed within the test chamber for detecting a temperature within the test chamber, a first vortex tube coupled to the test chamber for providing a heating airflow to the test chamber, and a second vortex tube coupled to the test chamber for providing a cooling airflow to the test chamber. The system also comprises a temperature controller coupled to the sensor and configured to control an airflow delivered to the first and second vortex tubes to obtain a desired temperature setting within the test chamber.

摘要： A high-density connector utilizes a plurality of terminal assemblies that are assembled together into a block, or single unit, to form a connector. Each terminal assembly of the connector utilizes a plurality of conductive terminals having contact portions for mating with an opposing connector, tail portions for mounting to a circuit substrate and body portions held within an insulative body portion of the assembly. The body portions are supported within a housing in the form of a wafer which is plated with a conductive material so as to provide an all encompassing ground structure that surrounds the terminals and their insulative supporting terminal assemblies. In this manner a reference ground is provided around each signal terminal between its contact and tail portions that emulates a coaxial cable. The tails of the terminals and the ground structure have wide body portions with narrow contact portions to promote wicking of solder onto the tails for establishing a reliable solder mounting of the connector to a circuit board.
