摘要： The invention relates to a method for making a dimensionally stable wood-thermoplastic composite material composed of a wood component and a thermoplastic component comprising the steps of forming a wood-thermoplastic mass at a temperature above the melting temperature of the thermoplastic component. The mass is then passed through a converging die to form a shaped extrudate profile having a cross sectional shape wherein at least a part of the converging die is maintained at a substantially higher temperature than that of the mass. The profile is then fed through a low friction thermally insulating land section, the land section having the substantially the same cross sectional shape as the exit end of the converging die. The profile is then quenched in a non-oxidizing environment to form a substantially dimensionally stable outer shell around the profile, the shell having a temperature below the melting temperature of the thermoplastic component. The invention also relates to a die assembly for making a wood-thermoplastic composite material.

摘要： A diagnostic tool for speech recognition applications is provided, which enables a administrator to collect multiple recorded speech sessions. The administrator can then search for various failure points common to one or more of the recorded sessions in order to get a list of all sessions that have the same failure points. The invention allows the administrator to playback the session or replay any portion of the session to see the flow of the application and the recorded utterances. The invention provides the administrator with information about how to maximize the efficiency of the application which enables the administrator to edit the application to avoid future failure points.

A portion of the cover associated with an umbrella pole is releasably secured to the pole and maintained in elevated position by the pole to provide a tent-like structure, which includes an annular peripheral skirt depending below the table top. Releasable fasteners for securing a cover to an article secure the cover on the article after the cover has been positioned on the article. The cover extends from the elevated portion at a first angle towards the table top. The cover is manufactured to provide surfaces that are inclined at an angle greater than the first angle when the cover is installed, so that the cover better sheds water and other debris.
